Why we reached out
Scam calls and texts hit Indiana hard — Hoosiers filed about 190 scam-call reports with the FTC every weekday last month. Protect Indiana exists so the people those calls target have somewhere free to turn: a checker for suspicious messages, a 24/7 help line, plain-language guides, and step-by-step help getting personal information off people-search sites.
Everything is free, for everyone. We write to Indiana organizations — libraries, senior centers, townships, churches, credit unions, care teams — because one shared link or one printed sheet in the right lobby reaches the exact people scammers call.
What we can give you — all free, no catch
Who is behind this?
Protect Indiana is an independent Indiana company — not a government agency, and not a sales operation. Every tool is free for every Hoosier; voluntary pay-it-forward contributions keep it that way. Replies to Erin's emails are read by a real member of our team; answers are not instant, but they come.
